Tower records is delighted to announce today that this september we will be 15 years in dublin and to celebrate this we are proud to present a host of in- store events showcasing the best of irish talent.
Yes, after fifteen short years in Dublin, Tower will be doing what we do best by showcasing the best in Irish talent -both established and up and coming acts - from the amazing vocals of Lisa Hannigan to the band everyone is talking about: Ham Sandwich. Also due in to help celebrate our Birthday are two of Ireland's most impressive live acts, in the shape of The Blizzards and The Coronas. We will also be showcasing some of the newer talent destined for bigger things in the not so distant future. We have the wonderful Carly Sings, Chequerboard, We Should Be Dead and Cowboy X, to name just a few.
Also coming to the Wicklow Street store from the USA is Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin (and they give Ham Sandwich a hard time over their name!?!).Plus a few specials guests from time to time. Check in-store for full list of artist and times.

RTE 2fm are launching School of Rock 2009 on Sunday 14th September in Studio One of the RTE Radio Centre. The launch will be a party during the live broadcast of Larry Gogan's show and The Coronas will be performing as special guests. There are a limited number of tickets available now for the audience. Having sold out the Ambassador Theatre last March, The Coronas are playing thier biggest headliner to date.
We are delighted to announce that we will be headlining Ireland's oldest venue, the Olympia Theatre, this December. This is the biggest gig we've done to date and look forward to seeing you all there for an amazing gig! Cheers, the lads

Cois Fharraige will return to the west coast of Ireland in September. The spectacular three day music and surf event will once again take place in Kilkee, Co. Clare with a weekend of live music from some of the best acts around and exciting water sport activities.
Last years Cois Fharraige sold out in advance of the festival weekend and was critically acclaimed by fans, the performing artists and critics alike for its original festival concept and superb line up. This was confirmed with the award for "Best New Festival 2007" by the Irish Festival Awards. The Coronas will be playing on Friday night. Other acts announced so far include Travis, Supergrass, The Zutons, The Futureheads, Seasick Steve, Cathy Davey and 28 Costumes with more to follow shortly.
